Focused on helping HBSA members become active volunteers for the Austin community and make a significant contribution. Through our community service events, we aim to build HBSA’s reputation as an organization that takes pride in its efforts to give back and make a difference in the lives of others. Our biggest community events are held during our biannual community service weeks. However, we are involved all year with mentor programs or visits to the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area. HBSA also host one of the largest service events on campus. Each semester HBSA brings in approximately 500 students from around Texas and provide them with workshops on college admissions, financial aid, and college life. Every week during the school year HBSA members meet up and head over to Oak Hill elementary school were we partner with the school to assist with their reading program.
