What is your favorite thing to do in Austin?
Being front row of live music in Austin, especially during SXSW and ACL.
Favorite Thing About HBSA?
Dependability. You know you can always count on someone in HBSA to come through for you.
Top three favorite moments with HBSA?
- My first CFT when we went to Boston, MA and Nancy Gonzales was taking snaps of me freaking out on the plane because it was my first time flying.
- During Texas THON, there was this feeling of happiness and living in the moment that I can still vividly remember from dancing and being silly with the HBSA team as we made it through the last and 11th hour standing.
- Laying down under, my favorite piece, the orange and yellow glowing Chihuly glass exhibition in Seattle talking about life with Jack, Paloma, and Flor.
Why should students join HBSA?
Join HBSA if you want to surround yourself with people who inspire you to be better and make you feel loved because you know you truly will be and are.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years time, I hope to be graduating from Law School (Stanford or NYU Law *fingers crossed*) and making moves toward establishing my career as an attorney to one day become a partner, or maybe even opening my own law firm and be active in the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association.
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
You decide for yourself what your potential is, no one else can define it for you. Work smart and work hard for what you want to achieve, and find role models/ mentors who inspire you and would love to help you get there.
