What is your favorite thing to do in Austin?
I like doing anything outdoors in Austin such as kayaking, swimming in barton creek, and climbing Mount Bonnell. I also enjoy trying new restaurants with friends and going to the movies.
Favorite Thing About HBSA?
I love the lifelong friends you make in HBSA. People in this organization will stick with you for the rest of your life.
My freshman year chair retreat amazing! I learned so much and had fun! Another one would probably be the spring alumni dinner my freshman year. I was able to meet the founders of HBSA who started the organization more than 40 years ago. Lastly, family olympics this year was incredible and I was happy my team won the gold!
Why should students join HBSA?
This organization prepares you with the professional skills to tackle any job after college. In addition, people in HBSA are always willing to help you reach your goals and are always there for you when you need it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself working in corporate America and hopefully exploring as many countries as I can!
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
There are three main tips I would like to give. The first is to be proactive. Try your best to stay ahead on your academics and work hard. The second would be fail fast. In college you will fail but the key is to learn from it and apply it to other situations where you can then succeed. Finally, please have fun! College becomes a lot less stressful if you can find the right balance.
